  • Sonography

Sonography, also called ultrasound examination, is a working medium that gives an insight into the tissue structures of the patient. In this process, the attending physician places the so-called transducer on the affected body part, which emits the inaudible ultrasound waves. These hit the bone, muscle and organ structures lying in the output radius, which reflects a different “echo” depending on their nature and position. A computer converts these reflected sound waves into images.

At our regenerative orthopedic center, sonography is an essential part of the examination, as it is completely harmless to the human body and gives our doctors a promising first impression for diagnosis. With an ultrasound examination, for example, bone fractures or muscle tears can be identified in a very short time.
